Why a Site About K-Cup Coffeemakers?
This site offers comparative information on the Keurig B60 Special Edition Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System and the other Keurig systems. While there are other K Cup Coffeemakers on the market, and I’ve tried several, including a couple of other Keurig models, I consider the B60 to be not only the best value but the best brewer overall.
I’ve been a coffee drinker for most of my life, and I’ve tasted coffee brewed just about any way you can imagine. I’ve had my coffee singed over a campfire, perked in an aluminum percolator, boiled in a saucepan and even dripped through a Mr. Coffee.
I drink it black, I drink it with cream and, on really special occasions, I throw in a little bit of sugar. I’ve even been known to add a “medicinal libation” from time to time.
And I have a few friends who seem to like their coffee strong enough to climb out of the cup and smack them awake in the morning!
I’ve lost count of the number of coffee makers I’ve used and abused over the years. They all start out working perfectly. After a couple of weeks, though, the coffee seems to start losing it’s flavor. Then I start making it stronger for awhile, until it starts to fade again. Eventually, I’m using so much coffee just trying to get it to taste like something that I might as well be paying $5 a cup at Starbucks!
A couple of years ago, I saw a magazine ad for a Keurig single-cup coffee brewer. I had never heard of one, and my first thought was the same as almost everyone else I know. Why would you buy a coffee maker that brews only one cup of coffee at a time? It didn’t make sense. I was wrong.
I decided to give the Keurig a try when my spouse and I found ourselves on very different schedules. The last one up always ended up drinking coffee that had been sitting on the warmer for a couple of hours. It was terrible. Suddenly, I understood why you might want to brew just one or two cups of coffee, fresh, when you’re ready to drink it.
So, I ordered my first Keurig brewer, and I’ve never regretted it. When it arrived, I unpacked the box, set it on the kitchen counter, ran a tank of water through it to flush the system, and brewed my first cup of coffee made from a K-cup. It was Newman’s Own Extra Bold, and it may have been the best cup of coffee I’d had to that point.
So, I had a few more. The thing is, when you first get your Keurig, you get this K-cup variety pack that lets you sample a lot of different flavors and blends of coffee. It’s an opportunity to figure out exactly which one you like best. The problem is that you kind of get caught up in the fun of using the machine and you tend to drink too much coffee for a few days, in the name of “research.”
If you buy yourself a Keurig coffee brewer, which I highly recommend, then try to pace yourself for the first few days. There are over 70 varieties of coffee, tea, and hot cocoa, and you can’t possibly sample them all in a week or two. So take your time. Enjoy each cup. Experiment with the blends and flavors, and in a month or so you’ll narrow it down to two or three that you really like. And a couple of more to have on hand for special occasions.
If you’ve been looking for the perfect coffee maker, take a look at the Keurig B60 Coffeemaker Features and Benefits Page, first. It’s not a perfect coffee maker, but it does brew the closest thing to a perfect cup of coffee I’ve ever had.
I’ve tried to provide you with the specs, features, pros and cons on all the Keurig coffeemakers so you can compare them for yourself and see which best fits your needs. I hope you discover the K-Cup coffee maker that works for you.
